"Bayou Fishing" came about from walks near a lazy bayou where egrets frequent the banks in the search for food. With a few general photos of the area for reference, the artist's imagination took over.

Pelicans are large birds with large pouched bills. Fossil records indicate that pelicans have been around for over 30 million years. Pelicans swim well with their short, strong legs and webbed fee. Pelican usually eat fish, but also feed on amphibians and crustaceans.

“The Ise Home” is a 2023 replica of the home built by Henry and Rosie Ise in 1884. This full-sized recreation is located near Downs, KS, and was constructed for the filming of the feature-length film, “Sod And Stubble”, based on the book of the same name chronicling the joys and challenges of the Ise family homesteading Kansas in the late 1800s.
